Enter your date of birth and discover your exact age in years, months, days — plus fascinating life stats.
The Quik-Calc Age Calculator takes your date of birth and calculates the precise time you've been alive down to the day. Unlike simple division (which ignores leap years and varying month lengths), our calculator performs proper date arithmetic that accounts for the irregular Gregorian calendar.
When you enter your date of birth, the calculator subtracts it from your chosen "calculate age as of" date — defaulting to today if left blank. It breaks the result into years, months, and days so you know exactly where you stand. This matters because February has 28–29 days, April has 30, and so on — simple subtraction gets it wrong.
The total days lived is computed using the actual number of milliseconds between the two dates, divided by 86,400,000 (the number of milliseconds in a day). From there, we derive total weeks and total months to give you a complete picture. The next birthday countdown finds the days remaining until your upcoming birthday by calculating the difference between today (or your chosen date) and your next birthday anniversary.
Fun statistics like heartbeats and breaths are estimates based on medical averages: approximately 70 beats per minute and 16 breaths per minute at rest. We multiply these by the number of minutes you've been alive. The hours slept estimate assumes 8 hours of sleep per night — roughly one-third of your life. Your actual numbers vary based on lifestyle, health, and age, but these give you a fun ballpark.
Your life position bar shows where you stand on a theoretical 100-year timeline. It's not a prediction — just a fun visualization to give perspective on your journey so far.

Enter birth date March 15, 1985 and target date June 1, 2026. The calculator returns: 41 years, 2 months, 17 days. If checking Medicare eligibility at age 65, set the target to the month of the 65th birthday to find the enrollment window. For a child born September 1, 2022 checking kindergarten eligibility by September 2027, the calculator shows they turn 5 right on the cutoff date.
The calculator uses standard date-difference arithmetic that accounts for varying month lengths and leap years. It does not use 365.25-day averages — each month is calculated individually for accuracy.
